Burns Night at Roast

Burns Week
This year we will celebrate Burns Night with a week of tailored specials from
the 19th – 25th January in honour of Robert Burns.

New dishes on our January menu

Starters
Smoked haddock broth with potatoes, brown shrimps and chives

Warm smoked eel with Denhay ham and quince jelly

Butternut pumpkin pudding with wild mushrooms and thyme

Main courses
English calf’s liver with marrow fat peas and ham hock

Seared Cornish scallops with anise carrot and crisp Ayrshire bacon

Game keepers stew with mashed potatoes and crisp bacon

with pickled damsons
Roast pheasant £18.50
with sherry glazed parsnips and chestnuts
Grilled brace of spatchcocked partridges £20.00
with pine nuts and rosemary

• Rib of beef to share
They are now available to share on Sundays without notice.
Roast rib of beef with Yorkshire pudding, creamed horseradish and mustard
£30.00 per person (minimum four)

New at breakfast time:
Egg Benedict made with toasted muffin, smoked Scottish ham, poached egg and Hollandaise sauce.
